A Family Tradition
The Kaeding family has had a long and successful history in both racing and business in California and over the years they combined the two into a successful racing business. The property where the business is located has been in the family since the early 1940's.
The 60's and 70's
In the early sixties, Howard and his brother Herb started a wheel widening and repair business for Super Modifieds.
In The 70's Joel and Brent Kaeding joined the family business to create Kaeding Performance one of the top speed shops in the area, building street and race engines. As well as doing machine work for Super Modifieds, Drag Boats, Drag Cars, RV'S and Street Cars.
The 80's
In 1985 Kaeding Performance added Sprint Car and Oval track parts to their business. So, for over 30 years Kaeding Performance has been supplying the Sprint Car and Open Wheel community with the highest quality parts and service available.
July 19, 2005
Kaeding Performance experienced a devastating fire and the shop burned to the ground. The local newspapers read "Up in Smoke: Kaeding Performance Destroyed in Fire". But with the help of family, friends and the racing community we were able to rebuild bigger and better. We built a state of the art building which has helped us serve our customers better.
2015
After what seemed to be a very transitional year in Sprint Car racing around the world, it is good to see the sport is still evolving and growing. The technology seems to be bringing more parity into our sport. With better parts and better motors it makes staying on top of all the technology that much more important. So, with that in mind, you can rely on our experience as racers to keep you and your team up to date with the latest technologies and trends to stay competitive.
